Our story
How Unleased began
The idea for Unleased began when two local business women couldn’t find the right space for their operations. Squeezed out of the traditional commercial property market, they were forced to look for alternatives. Both found ways to workaround the problem by sub-leasing warehouse space.
In 2025 we, Clair and Jacqui, met each other through business connections and discovered we’d faced the same problem. Out of this discussion a new business was born. The mission behind the business was to help others like us; businesses that need a warehouse space to grow but can’t afford to take on a whole lease for 5 years.
Together we bring more than 20 years of small business and entrepreneurial experience. Our real world experience of the highs and lows of business ownership means that we understand what you’re going through.
The location of a business, the space, and the people in it — are a major aspect of business operations. It may be the most important decision you make. We want to help small businesses make decisions that set them up to reduce their overheads from the outset, allow flexible terms, provide the structure to make a safe connection and ultimately connect with the right space that allows the business to flourish.
